Used plastic forms the starting point for sculptural works, light installations and objects. Through an intuitive process of collecting, cutting, layering and experimenting with light, colour and transparency, discarded material is transformed into something luminous and contemplative. Traces of use, imperfections and unexpected qualities become an integral part of each work. Johanna de Jong exhibits at VEEN HUB, Van Diemenstraat 408 in Amsterdam.
