Donny Ronny, the artist name of Rietveld alumnus Gover Meit (formerly known as Stefano Keizers) is proud to present an episode of Rietveld / RATveld TV.
The episode, named “I am art myself” explores the question of what it means to be a true artist. Being a contemporary clown with a focus on the ‘reality’ of things, Donny Ronny reflects on the lessons that he's learned.
Through the eyes and wisdom of Burkina Faso based artist Papa Adama, we learn a little true philosophy. By connecting Papa’s purist lifestyle to young and aspiring artist Jessica Kuhn’s fresh look on things, we are confronted with two different roads we could take - both artificial, both as real as can be.
But in the end, as usual, we are left alone with lies.
