Here is a selection of experimental films created on 16mm and Super 8 emulating that old-school style. \n\nPOETRY IN MOTION\nSome media marry very well. Animation and music is always golden.\nAnother media that works very well is poetry. Perhaps what they have in common is freedom. Poetry, music, animation and a sense of play. Sure, what more do you need?\n\nRABBITS & other animals \nThis section features animals. Bears, tigers and rabbits. I really like rabbits.\nThey’re cute, they’re cuddly and there’s soooo many that you can never get enough. \nHere are some ruminations on rabbits and other animals.\n\nMOVING PAINTINGS\nAn animation without a plot, story or sometimes even without characters is called a non-narrative film. Or as we call them round here moving paintings. Projected onto a wall or seen on a screen the non-narrative form is more common than you might think. The video billboard, the pop-up ad, the neon sign, visuals in a club, lyric videos, all eye candy, all non-narrative. \nFuture Vision Festival is a celebration of unusual animation, a feast for the eyes jam packed with films of every shape size and hue with cutting edge animation from Japan, The Netherlands and over fifty other countries worldwide.\nFuture Vision Festival runs December 1st 2022 to 8th January 2023 hosted in free spaces at Sub Store in downtown Tokyo on December 17th 2022, with a sister screening FREE at Vrij Paleis op de Dam in Amsterdam on 7th January 2023 with Future Vision Exhibition and Party.\nTune in to Future Vision Amsterdam on SALTO 1 TV for interviews, behind the scenes and lots and lots of great animation broadcast and on demand until January 2023.
